Built around a beautiful 500-year-old Leadwood Tree, the Chalkey Treehouse leave guests with all the 5-star comforts and some wild experience as the animals roam beneath it. The treehouse is a secure and lavish platform under the stars comes with its own toilet (yes, up in the canopy, so you don’t have to brave the wildlife in the middle of the night), king bed and of course a mosquito net. Guests are driven out to the treehouse suite at dusk, given a picnic dinner and then left alone to soak up the evening sounds of the African bush. This is certainly a luxury treehouse!

Nestled in a huge Ebony tree, offering wonderful river views, and filled with snorting hippos, Tongabezi is a wonderful lodge on the banks of the Zambezi River, just up from the Victoria Falls. The tree house comes with a king-size bed and personal valet service, this is a very romantic option. The treehouse is beautifully furnished, with lots of seating nooks. Chole Mjini is an eco-friendly treehouse lodge on a tiny island, near a small island called Mafia about 60 miles south of Zanzibar (Tanzania). There are 6 treehouse rooms built on stilts around baobab trees. The rooms are simple but comfortable and overlook the gorgeous blue Indian Ocean. They’re furnished with 4 poster beds, a private bathroom (on level ground) and all romantically lit with oil lamps. Food is freshly prepared daily (there are no fridges on the island) and should fill you up enough to spend an idyllic day snorkelling or diving.
